Rest Frame Velocity
Do you realize that at the moment you read this you are moving at 823,000 miles per hour, the value called the rest frame speed, the average velocity of matter in the Universe? Rest frame velocity arguably proves that the Universe is expanding. Measuring the Doppler Shift of the Cosmic Microwave Background radiation displays distinct dipole pattern with red shift looking in one direction and blue shift in opposite direction, suggesting that we are moving relative to the rest frame of radiation and consequently relative to all of matter in the Universe. The actual velocity calculation results in 823,000 miles per hour - about one thousandth speed of light - as you can guess correctly, our velocity against the Sun, Solar system and Local Group of Galaxies is taken out of equation.
